Hi Everyone ,
The Drive in Question Is the WDC WD40EZAZ-00SF3B0 4TB 3.5" SATA . Client says it just stopped working with original PCB the drive gets detected and shows ID ,i thought lets do a headmap and access the entire HDD .I removed the ROM with hot air and read with a external programmer and wrote rom to unlocked PCB ,Started the HDD and The status registers would try to get drd dsc then it would click and this disco dance would continue .I removed the pcb and blocked Mod 02 access ,attached the PCB back to HDA assembly and started the drive ,IMHO it got detected as " WDC WD40EZAZ-00SF3B0-80-00A80-WD-WX12D514RNTE " and i got the entire SA area including Mod 190 excluding Mod 02 as once that is blocked it will not read that .Then i did a slow response fix without Relo list clearing ,I mean i did not enable option no 02 in the menu that comes ,Then i blocked UA access and tried the drive Data access by enabling 02 in RAM ,Now this drive is detected as " WDC WD40EZAZ-00TE2B0-04-A8H-2-WD-WX12D514RNTE " How is this possible ,I still do not have access to User area ,So drive Model and Drive Firmware is now different ,how did this happen .Is there a copy of original Mod 02 in some log mods etc ,Can someone assist me how to nail this case please .
