Hi,

Anyone worked with SLOW FIx issue in PalMar?

I've tried manual process, but drive ID is lost once tried.

PS # I've backed up all the fw before doing anything in SA

I didn't think Palmer with SMR was supported with PC3000.

Once we use unlocked PCB, we can access fw.

But, there still isn't a palmer utility, is there? To the best of my knowledge, none of the utilities are equipped to handle SMR SA and any attempt to write to SA could lead to the death of the drive.

Also, its not possible to recal CS on Palmer within PC3K to confirm changes - writing a 'empty' 32 module from a donor may help but this wont disable the relo collection process within module 02

I hear Palmer has support in the next release of PC3000 (and within current beta release) but I dont have it so I cant confirm...

No, there is no palmar utility, but we can access by pebbleb.

I tried to edit manually the soecifuc area, but drive lost ID once did it. Rewrite originsl 02 gave access again.

Really? Its a good news about the new release. When is it coming? Any estimated date?

I don't believe pebbleb is equipped to handle SMR.

The unlocked PCB helps but the version still doesnt help slow fix. Since it requires more work in palmar

shahi, Indeed, Slow Responding Fix is not recommended to apply for SpyGlass and Palmer drives because of new 02 module structure.
ACELab developers are working on it.
But, the new version allows to get SA access, edit head map in RAM, build head map in DE, it's a very useful features, isn't it?

But to get access to SA needed is unlocked PCB also with the last version PC-3000?
