Total newbie

Postby markrocketrepairs » 01.09.20, 16:22

I have a WDC WD10JPVX-75JC3T0 it is coming to a readt state and reading ID ok.

It is not making any odd noises

But cant find any data partitions.

Everything I try just gets an error of "Software Reset OK"

I have checked all the heads are ok

But I am getting 10 Header errors on the SA (when read from SA not the RAM or ROM) and I don't know how to correct that.
Module 2D Copy 0........................ : Header error
Module 2D Copy 1........................ : Header error
Module 2E Copy 0........................ : Header error
Module 2E Copy 1........................ : Header error
Module 12D Copy 0....................... : Header error
Module 12D Copy 1....................... : Header error
Module 22D Copy 0....................... : Header error
Module 22D Copy 1....................... : Header error
Module 2FF0 Copy 0...................... : Header error
Module 2FF0 Copy 1...................... : Header error

I dont know much else, please be gentle with me as I dont fully know PC3000 yet

Would suggest not to try correcting these... Do you have full copy of the SA? Softreset on trying to access data would mean issue is somewhere else.
Please maintain backups.
