not find module 01

hi to all
i have a hdd WD 2.5 family shrek LT
this h.d.d no id
i have change pcb and convert to sata
i do "Uploder dir into hdd ram" but error :
Module (0001) read error Module ID 01 reading error Data request error - Device Error Detected: "FM ERR CHECKSUM"
i do manully uploder LDR from hdd same(rom VER)
loder is ok
test head is ok
i do serch module in SA (by ID & by ABA) but not module 01,32,...
please help me

Did you check both copies? I think some Shrek drives actually have 4 copies of SA, so there's a good chance you can find 01 in there somewhere.

Also, am I to assume you transferred the ROM code to the SATA PCB? If you're using non-native ROM it may be reading the wrong SA region address, which would explain why 01 is missing.

Well,
The Tool Has a Bug I Did Find That And Explained To Maxim In a TS Support Case .I had a 4TB that the tool could not find many modules from the tracks .But i closed that thread as Maxim was advising me to change the headstack of the 4TB and bend the Head 00 And He Said That WDC Drives Do Not Work if We Physically Cut Heads " Which i had Done " . This is Not Correct As I had done countless drives like this and also many of the experienced people using acelab products do .The issue was i was able to get the drive to start/spin .Due to the fact that the drive had one head physically cut it would spin down .Once it would do this i would load the loader from a donor ,Then issue command to make the drive sleep though it was already spinned down ,Then Issue a Head MAP In Ram Command And Issue The Following 1 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 .This makes The Drive Fool Into Believing head No 0 is present and substitutes this as Head No 1 .Once this is achieved We Initiate a Spinup Command To The Drive ,Which Starts The Drive With Full SA Access To Head No 1 .Till Today I Have Not Understood If i Had Changed The Headstack And Bend Head No 0 What Difference It Would Had Made To This Entire Episode .Anyways Once i gained access to SA Of head No 01 i could not find Module 01 Just Like You ,I Then Read All The Tracks And Tried To Generate Modules From Them ,I Got A List of Only 250 Approx Odd Modules Though The 4TB Gaint family has more then 500+ modules .I then Took a new 4TB and Tried To Generate Modules From Tracks Same Bug .It Was Sad To Know That TS Guys Think That Drives Cannot Work With Heads Cut .I Think Few of Them Should Actually Try Physical Head Swap Recovery And Try These Stunts That We Do Daily ,Might Be Then Their Prospective Will Change Regarding These Kind Of Physical Work Using Acelab Tools .

If you blocked SA access in ROM, and are then doing module search in SA it might not be properly accounting for the shifted region. Usually this is resolved by just closing and re-opening the utility. That, or you can backup the tracks and then do the search from within the tracks. Or, you can even just directly read the ABA region that the ROM specifies the dir module to be saved. Perhaps between the two copies you can piece together a good copy.

Dear Amarbir[CDR-Labs], with all respect, you've been told to set the checkbox "Search nested modules" and tell about the result, but you answered that you were busy and going to do it later.
I still didn't get the answer in ticket nor at forum. Maybe I missed it? If you have the troubles with something, you are always welcome to contact TS directly with any bugs, we will do the best to solve any issues.

Countless Giant drives? Or old Marvells like Sadle G6 or Mariner? Here in TS we are facing new WD drives with new issues every day, and, you know, actually the new drives are a bit different in their FW than the old ones

sepid, check the dir address in SA regions editor, try to load the donor Dir into RAM from same model and FW backup, then restart the utility and check whether the Dir is readable or not in modules table.
It would be better if you contact TS with teamviewer details.

I did try the Search Nested Modules Even Before It Was Asked For But i Stopped Responding To Ticket Because Leaving The Very Modern 3TB And 4TB USB External Drive i Have Had Physically Cut Head Of Almost All Families And I Have Managed To Bypass Damaged Platter Issue .Not Only Me if You Take a Poll in This Forum About How Many Professionals Restore To Such a Practice You Will Be Amazed To Find Out That Almost All Of The Guys Who Are Good In Physical Work Restore To such Practice .

PS : You Gave Me a Warning For The Post Here -> viewtopic.php?p=33904#p33904 Which i think Should Not Have Been Given The Thing Is That He is Having The Same Problem That When He Was Searching The SA Of a WDC Digital HDD For Modules He Was Not Able To Find Them .You TS Guys Might Not Be Doing As Much Physical Recoveries As Some of Us Are Doing .The Thing You Were Asking Me To Do In The TS Ticket Would Not Have Altered The Situation Even By 1 Percent Because According To Me Head No 00 Platter Was Damaged As i Could clearly see under microscope .Using The Method Above I Was Able To Make The Drive Spin And Read All Tracks From Head No 1 And Then Tool Was Able To Extract Modules From That " But Not As Many As i Wanted " ,I Also Used a New Working Drive And Reached Same Conclusion ,You Instead of Thinking From a User Prospective Have Taken This Personally And Given Me a Warning I Do Not Appreciate That ,Why is That You Have To Be Correct All The Time .Sometimes Our Viewpoint Can Also Be Valid As You Could Clearly See In This Case ,Would You Like Me To Create a Video Where I Physically Cut Heads And Recover Hard Drives Heads Specially In WDC .I Consider Myself a Master In WDC Family Firmware And Physical Work Boss
