DRDY status is reached from PCB only once Kernel mode is active.

If PCB is confirmed as good, you can try to adjust map of heads in RAM as next step

Maybe I missed a step or two here: after selecting "Use Dir in utility" is it then necessary to "write Dir to HDD"? Should the drive ID properly after this procedure or do you have to set the SA regions editor back to its original settings and power off/on? It's been a while since I encountered this problem and I don't remember the whole procedure.

minimalist, When you have fixed all necessary for data access modules, you need to restart the drive (power off\on), and reenter in Marvell utility to initialize the drive in PC-3000.
Then you go to Data Extractor and create a new task. Do not close the Marvell utility, it's necessary for head map building in Data Extractor.
