I have WD 1 TB USB hdd Model No. WDC WD10smzw-11y0ts0. autodetect Family by pc3000 is failed. Can I have to choose manually Family? Which Family it belongs to?

It has PCB No. 2060-8000069-001 REV P1. is it possible to read rom and modules via com port in this hdd? Which pin is Tx , Rx ?

These are those single platter 2 head drives ,Never yet come across any of these .I am sure i can find the pins if i indeed have it with me ,Can you show the photo or both sides of the pcb please

You can work via the SATA using the donor SATA PCB, or solder the SATA adapter like in scheme above.
Try to select FBLite family manually, let us know about any messages during the utility start.

currently I have one here for recovery...so I'm curious

Actually it's possible to use a unlocked donor PCB for this drive if we want to get SA access.

unsolder the original patient ROM, read it in programming device, then write the dump to unlocked donor PCB.
