Hi Everyone
I have a WD Elements 25A2 1014. A new Drive, which i would like to delete secure with PC-3KE.
The WD Utility could not autodetect the drive, Why?
With Windows, an d DataExtractor i have normal Access to the drive.
In PC3kE produce an error after klick the autodetect button:
HDD's RAM reading error, unexpected error: Undefined SCSI error ASC: 0x00; SCQ: 0x1D
Any Idee?
Thanks for help.

Thanks for Answer
Sorry last post from me, was may be gone..
The Model is:WDBUZG5000ABK-EESN
I'm not open the Plastic-Case because the drive is new, and not a datarecovery-job.
regards
Bruno

Some WD USB PCB's only allow limited access over the USB channel. To do more you'd need a terminal connection or to convert out the PCB for a SATA one. In either event, it'd require you to open the drive.

Why not just use the universal utility to do a write test.

Thank you Guys for all the tips.
For datarecovery purposes, shure i spend the hdd a SATA PCB, but for secure delete, i will not open the case.
In the meantime i have overwrite the hdd by 3.Party program.
