I have this drive came as dead drive I think issue is with logic

as per customer drive was working when applied pressure on the usb3 connector from the side now it does not power on
I like to know how i can transfer the rom

I do have couple drive i think i can use donor drive
i really appreciate if you guide me the steps

i guess or i can just move the rom chip from this to original to donor drive

Yes, you can physically transfer the ROM chip from one PCB to the other, that is the correct SATA PCB for your drive. However, that's not the method I'd recommend. The location of the ROM chip is really close to other circuitry and it's extremely easy to ruin these PCBs just from applying the heat necessary to remove the ROM.

What I always do is to just remove the ROM chip from the failed PCB, read it in an external programmer, then write the ROM code to the working drive through the PC-3000 utility. This way I'm not ruining good PCBs in the process.

Can recommend REVELPROG-IS as external programmer, with the right testclips you can do in system read / write without soldering.

One of the best programmers are from Elnec ,For lower priced once i say autoelectric and sofitech

Try TNM 2000 or TNM 5000 http://www.tnmelectronics.com/en/
It can autodetect any chip or you can select from list and it will use corect voltage like 1.8 V / 2.5 V / 3 .3 V etc.
You get lot's of updates and it's also superfast.

Autoeletric has been fine for me.

Also BusPirate. But won't recommend it due to the un-necessary learning curve. But it''s fun!

What do you mean by testclips? Is the programmer not ready to go as it?

Sure - programmer is ready to go. But I preferer to read and write ROM on PCB with SOIC 8 pogo clips
