How to solve SED problem in 2,5" WD drives

After a little more farting around and ignoring the two place suggesting a re-power of the drive, I now get 3 (!) "Encryption Types" (see attached)
The Main/Top selection applied changes the data, but still looks encrypted.
But now, when I select the second "JM..." choice, It looks de-crypted.
I followed the rest of the instructions using DE-COPY with "Decrypt" option in Task Params, turned off Head 1 - success!

Hello Platterpuss, it is not necessary to repower the drive when it starts with full ID and does not show SED issue at the beginning.
If you see SED in decryption tab, always choose Self Encrypting to decrypt the data.

P.S. 5.9.21 is not the latest one. 6.1.14 is the latest for today.
Please contact ACELab technical Support for TS contract renewal and getting the new version.

I had to use a controller from a perfectly good 1TB WD shop drive.
-Remove card, flash the ROM with original saved data
-Remount card onto original drive, clicking!

I don't want to "explore" and guess what to do next....
I don't know what to do at this point to get original Donor (not Patient) drive working.
Probably simple for someone who's done this. Help, please.

Is there a mirror of the original post? The images no longer exist.

Does the decryption depend on the sector size, like Truecrypt/Bitlocker? So should I work with the physical sector size or logical sector size?

Pictures aren't really needed. Just follow the instructions. You will get to a point where this is all memorized.

I already know how to decrypt using PC3K, I'm more interested in the differences between the encrypted and decrypted hex.

Can someone please advise if possible. I have a sed problem on a WD drive. Every time i get to the step to load DIR and loader into ram it loads DIR but always fails with a checksum error on module 11.Am i missing a step?

Bsy is light. you can't access anything on this state.
Try short pin read or somthing to ready light and unlock SEC.
