Wd Passport 2tb USB Smartware Password unknown.

I know this has probably been answered many times. I have a smartware keyword being requested suddenly on this customers drive. He says he didn't set one. What is the procedure to get around this?

It stops at the WD Unlocker screen and asks for a password.

Any chance there is a password hint? Sometimes they setup a password when they setup the drive and set windows to automatically mount the drive without prompting for the password. So, after a year or two, when they are suddenly prompted for a password, they forgot that they actually set one up.
