Did you try to read ROM over serial port?

Try to read entire ROM then manually extract ROM modules from within it using the Binary HexEdit that came with your PC3000. You need to enable the WD Marvel plugins.

If there is some issue with ROM then you can replace ROM with same FW version just as long as original 4F module is transferred to it.

Why dont you transfer ROM to good SATA PCB and work this way?

Aj ,
Once You Read The ROM And ROM Modules Via Serial Port Without The HDA Of Course PC 3000 Is Definitely Not Parsing the Same Properly .The ROM Totally Read is fine "As it Has All ROM Modules Also " . But Its Not Capable To Read All ROM Modules Even If They Are OK And Man They Are OK ,Because The Method You Describe Is Fully Known To Me .I Want The Developer To Look Into This Issue .Do You Know If The SATA Board After Programming The Same Read Rom By Serial Port Is Attached To HDA It Parses The ROM And ROM Modules Properly .So Something Is Wrong The Way PC 3000 Is Reading Sherk LT ROM And ROM Modules With HDA Attached And Without HDA Attached .I Can Try And Read ROM And ROM Modules Using USB Port On a Sherk LT With And Without HDA Attached And Submit Report Here .BTW I Am Nailing Each And every Case Of Sherk LT Comming To My Way In The Lab With PC 3000 Not a Single One Not done Till Today
