7200.12 ST31000524AS Cannot Access Terminal

The drive spins up and sounds like it is initialising correctly, but remains in a BSY state. It gives several LED error codes, but the first one that is shown is 'LED: 000000CC FAddr: 000075A5', so I was hoping to try the 'Solution for the "HDD Lock (LED: 000000CC)" Problem'. However, I cannot access the terminal prompt whichever way I try. I found the shorting points for the PCB in another post (viewtopic.php?f=154&t=8923&p=31175&hilit=100574451#p31175) and they appear to work, as the drive clicks at startup whilst the points are shorted. However, the 'DRD' and 'DSC' lights come on but the drive does not spin down, and no commands can be entered into the terminal.
