Seagate ST3500320NS terminal

Postby vaidis1973 » 25.09.16, 21:05

Hi,
Have ST3500320NS with firmware SN06, PCB: ZKAJ-7 100475720 Rev A, from terminal no response, like terminal turned off. Same PCB with firmware SN04 work with terminal.
PCB REV C with firmware SN06, terminal work ok too.
What shamanic techniques need to unlock terminal ? Unscrew pcb from motor, or chanell shortcut dont help :(
thx

First, have you already copied the patient ROM to one of the donor boards? Do you get terminal output after doing this? If not, try copying patient adaptive data (CAP+RAP+SAP+IAP) from ROM to donor board with SN06 firmware. Any change?

Hi,
Does That Mean If We Are Able To Copy Adaptives From Currupt ROM Properly We Can Use Same Firmware Alternative ROM And Inject Adaptives To That It Will Make The Drive Function ? .

Correct. Of course this assumes that the problem is not with the adaptive data itself.

It Would Be Nice Researching On Seagate ROM After Few Days Will Keep in Touch
