ST500DM002 only MFT area not reading

I Have HDD ST500DM002. The HDD is identified correctly. Can read all modules and system files. While running SCAN MFT in DE, not reading lot of sectors. Can make copy of the balance Hard Disk. What could be the possible reason ?

The possible reason is trash inside the case or sectors are marked like a defects.
Try to use Hardware retries option in De, also try to clean up the platters surface and re-read these sectors again.
