Segate ST500dm002 Bsy

Hi All
the hdd Fw KC45 sty bsy ,the head seem fine and after i wait i can access terminal.
but when i try to clear smart or translete i have led error.
i try read some file sys but can not read.
i try short point but head start cliycking not access to terminal.

Hello,
Try to switch off all ticks in 93 sys file and fix SMART sys files (basically 135 sys file) then check a behavior.
You also can contact Technical support department regarding this case ts.acelab.eu.com

try to rewrite it from the donor Seagate drive with the same family name.

Just out of curiosity, did you re-check system file 93 to be sure the changes actually took? Very often the drive goes unresponsive before the changes actually were written back to the system file.

If it stays BSY then under 'Work with ROM' patch it with 'No Host FIS' patch. After repower you should see DSC and DRDY registers.
Over terminal window check if NRG is empty. If it is then regenerate translator at T> and enter ESLIP mode. Now refresh ID and try to read sectors.
Any changes to 0x93 will be reset to default after translator regeneration. But you can make changes to SMP through RAM if it is needed after Eslip mode.
Also, if SMART needs to be cleared then clear over terminal immediately after translator regen command.

They Have a Lot Of Options in That ROM Utility ,May i Create a Thread With a Blast Of a Few Questions ? .
