Hello ,
Today i got a Case of a Seagate ST3500418AS .Drive Comes DRD DSc Ready .Utility if Run Detects Drive As Paraoh Family So Far So Good .Once You Start F3 Family Seagate Utility [ All Modiles ,DT and sys files that is reads at starts are read ] . But drive capacity is 0MB .I cannot read Module 1B - Translator From Head 0 or 1 .According to Me Translator is Bad [ Module Currupted or erased By Older DR Company ] . Well i can see data in sysfile 35 no of volume 3 from both heads 0 and 1 .In this case is there a system that i can copy sysfile data and restore module 1b and get drive detected to full capacity .This drive had NRG list enteries also .or i have to go via traditional route like regenerate translator , As it had NRG list so there would be paritial access issue ,Then recover translator .

PS ; i have backup of everything before the Indian TS Guy did the traditional thing and translator recovery is going on .Before i started it i did a edit hdd id and unticked everything expect 1 no .

Hello Amarbir,

Can advice to write 1B sys file from the donor drive with the same Family name and f/w version then use Translator regeneration procedure.
Then check a result if the users area access will be partial then need to recover translator by the same named option.
