I have a Seagate 2 Tb Rosewood_A5 ST2000LM007 busy
I have donwloaded ROM with bootcode and it says WARNING! Segment header check sum is invalid!
I believe I need to reflash the ROM using a donor. Any ideas how to get around this? I am stuck

Reflash using a donor? NO! You need original ROM.

My apologies for not giving details
The original ROM has a container error, and can't acces the terminal it gives a fail servo error
The ROM is integrated in the controller
I was wondering if I can use a donor rom and copy into it the originalROM adaptives in hex editor? Is there anything else I can do?.

Check the original ROM. Container error message does not mean that the ROM is damaged. fail servo means that heads cannot read SA.
You can upload ROM so someone else can check it.

Hi,
I have the same drive ST2000LM007-1R8174 here. I read the ROM using a programmer and unlocked. But the drive still gives "BootCode is locked! Use programmer for ROM reading!". I got access to user files and i am copying files but extreemly slow. I need to speed up the process please. Unlocking the ROM on WD drives using PC3k is straight forward. May be i didn't do the unlocking right? This is terminal and log
