What happens if you read an A5 Rom with the F3 Arch utilty?

Is that saved ROM still ok to use and modify or must it be read with the correct utility?

My concern is that there may be a possibility of ROM size difference among utilities (1024, 512 etc)

I have seen cases (can't remember if it was rosewood) where I read a ROM accidentally with the universal utility and the size read was wrong. So it's definitely best to use the proper utility.

When you say “universal utility” do you mean the Seagate F3 arch utility that's not specific to any particular family?
