Hello.

I work on a poor surface ocean (Bacall)
The surface of head 1 is in poor condition ...

I was able to make an SA backup and then my head died ..
I inspected the head under the microscope and saw that it was full of crap ..

So I cut the head, but after that I found out that both Bacall and Grenada need both system heads for start up .

is it not possible to change the system head on this hard drive if it missing head 1 even though I have a backup of sys file

Well,
I have not done much experiment ,but i am sure it should be

Generally Seagate drives would need only one system head to start up, Bacall and Grenada are no exclusions.
Obviously if you cut any head you'd need to modify the heads map to prevent the drive from going to the missing head.
If H0 is good the drive should be able to work, if it does not - then some sys files might be damaged on H0, fix them and the drive should start.

The reason I ask is that I found it on one of the Aceblogg .. And I tried to edit the head map. when i do it the drive spins up and gives terminal error and the holder stays busy but it does not spin down again afterwards

try to change the heads map from 0 1 2 3 to 0 3 2 3. You need H0 to stay H0, don't change it to H3

Solved with help from Filipp.
