Hi to all

i have a HDD 500 barcuda ST500DM002 FW:KC48
During power ON, it stays BSY and i see this in Terminal:

Boot 0x10M
Spin Up[0x00000000][0x0000B67C][0x0000BA10]
Trans.

Rst 0x10M
MC Internal LPC Process
Spin Up
(P) SATA Reset

And The terminal doesn't work,
Then I tried shorting and it became READY and the motor also keeps running, with the following details and terminal output:

Model : ST_M13FQBL
Serial : QNR_BFW
Firmware : 02131127
Capacity : 3.86 GB (8 089 950)

If I turn off power and again power On it, it again stays BSY and have to repeat the same procedure to get it READY.
What is the problem? what should i do now ??

The drive has bad heads. Open the drive in clean room, check heads under microscope, clean or replace heads.

you are shorting at wrong time, try shorting after 2nd Rst 0x10m msg... it should get you the terminal
