HI Guys,
I got a ST5000LM000-2AN170 Firmware : 0001 5TB.
The drive get to Ready state but when trying to image it all sectors are black, which i am assuming will indicate some level of firmware corruption.
I've got the latest version of PC3K but it still doesn't identify this family, do you know if this family is already supported on PC3K and which family will it be?
Thanks

No, it's not a supported family of drive yet. What does the drive show in terminal on power up? Are you sure it's even staying spinning? Newer Seagate PCBs will show full ID even from just the PCB. So reading ID means nothing.

You are right mate. The day after I posted this post I tested it further and noticed that the new Seagate drives get full ID from the PCB. Terminal output is classic for bad heads and it spins down so definitely bad heads on this one. Thanks
