Hello, I have a ST2000DM008 that needs a head swap. It appears these specific models come in 1 and 2 platters. I found that out after purchasing a donor that was manufactured within one week of the patient drive. My bad. The patient has two platters and three heads. The donor has one platter and two heads. Does anyone know if there is a method to tell the difference between the two from the labels? The part numbers are the same on both. Thanks, Dave Sr.

PCB number I imagine will be same. I mean serial number from HDD label or base
