ST3500418AS peculiar problem.

I have the mentioned HDD. The HDD spins down after 11 clicks. So i think its head problem.
On running utility, T> is avialable in terminal though the drive is not spinning.
On giving command /2,U it starts spinning with Diag 6008 error. The spinning does not stop but T> is not taking any command.
Changed the PCB after ROM transfer and changed the head also from an identical hard disk.
The problem remains the same. Any solution will be highly appreciated.

The donor drive for HEads swap should have are same:
- Model number: Match the model number exactly.
- Serial number: Match the second and third characters of the serial number.
- Heads map: Match the physical heads (PH) map exactly. It is OK if the donor has more heads than the original drive, but all heads before that should match.
- Preamplifier type: Optional — Match the first two digits of the preamplifier type.
