RAM headmap editing problem

Postby msurgeon » 10.03.16, 22:42

I have a ST4000DM000 which has an obviously bad head 3. I disabled that head in ROM using procedure as blog suggested and now drive is recognized properly. However, when I try to use any of the 3 RAM head map editing choices I get an error message: "Read ServoSym at Inx 0x0058 err=0x00000001". Can't proceed beyond this point. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi,
According To Me Once You Disable Head In ROM You just need to start DE After Seagate F3 Utility is started And Then Create a Headmap in DE .Then Disable The Head in De That Does Not Read ,Thats All About That
