Can anyone detail the actions the utility and DE?

by the data extractor is very very slow but the copy!
Does anyone here have any solution to make this copy be faster?

You should create loader with next options

Then run DE with next options

Choose HDD initialization and APP modifications for ATA

Then select loader saved before

And try to make an image.

I can get all data buy using this method

I have ST 375000640AS ... i tried this solution ... it goes fine until at the end when it says ,, cmd 4A, PARMAS it stays at this command for a big while and then errors " cannot start app code " ... why any solution ?

I think "fine until the end" is referring to the actual loading of LDR during task creation...

I guess you are right.

Need to read loader from a file and not from the drive. Hopefully that will work.

I have the same problem with ST37506440AS and the solution say "can't start app..."

It is, but only with risks of totally 'bricking' the hdd. Often, if there are errors at SA, attempts to rebuild CERT will fail and data will not be accessible.

Personally, I would invest in a DE to accompany your PC3000.
