Okay, with the Ctrl+R (instead of Ctrl+Z) everything worked
as advertised. I get a quick ID now and directory tree.
Still, a lot of errors in D.E. Data Copy...but proceeding
Thanks,

Errors are due to "bad sectors". You should never "force" the drive to work with a "pending bug" without solving the issue first, otherwise the heads will be killed very fast

With the "pending bug" out of the way you should be able to image the drive, at least partialy.
Let us know if it worked. If you power off and on the drive you shouldn't get those pending errors any longer.

Re: Seagate barracuda Antipending solution
I think the drive actually has Bad Sectors. I tried reverse copy, still gets in trouble.
What I did was stop the DE Data Copy move the whole copy process to Deepspar
Disk Imager (DDI), and viola --- copied all but 5207 sectors out of 1/2 million.
I've noticed this a few times already, where PC3K has a hard time copying or
even identifying a drive, yet DDI pulls it off easily. - and vice versa but not as
often. So, having both tools is handy indeed, IMHO.
Thanks again...

Nice to know it did work, at least at some level.
