Maxtor SABRE

Dear all

I have here a Sabre Drive 30GB. Its from Lacie (RAID0) with two drives. the client says he powered off the drive before unmounting form PC.
One Drive is ok, but the second makes trouble.
Firs,t i save all Modules.
On any Modules i corrected checksum.

In DE i could only read the sector "0".
All other Sectors makes error.
Now i deleted G-List and making translator regen. ok.

No read other sectors the the "0"
delete P-List and regen Translator, ok

What i have overlookt?

Do u sure it is SaABRE 30 gb ONLY. Never see Sabre Drive with only 30 GB.
pls post more detail of SA Structure test

Do you have an idee about the malfunction of tids drive.
He start normal become ready, but i can only read the sector "0"...

RZTBL a serious problem for DR. Actually this can be fixed with translator regen ( s/w or H/w ) But I hope u save ALL track before do any modification..

Dear Steven

I'm make translator regen SW and after no access to HD translator regen HW.
The translator regen end successful, boot time, but i have only access to sector "0" and "63" :? . Now i write all modules (from first save) back to the surface. All modules could be written succesfull.
I think a module is not ok, because the user disconnect the plug from wall, without logout the LACIE hd, but witch module could be defekt?.
In DE i could be read the first sector and sect.63 ok (green). i take a test red with read ignore CRC. Now sect 2 is black, the next 15 are grey, next black and so on. 63 is green.
Is there a way to get the te data??

Hello,

It is hard to help you remotely, but i can recover any (original) maxtor in any case if recoverable at all.
For this case, i am sure, i can do it for you, if you interested.
