Do you try to run this drive to alternative SA?
For this you may use option in start dialog of UDMA version which called "Firmware start" - "Start from alternate SA (SATA)".
This option must be run if sefe mode adapter is connected, it called "PC-MX-SAFE" and goes in UDMA version set.

If drive start from ALT-SA correctly you can run "Test servo lables" from Tools - Utility Extantion menu.

When you perform "Start from alternate SA" command HDD must start code from surface if system head is working (can read data).
If drive busy very long time that means SA surface can't read.
Runing loader or so doesn't help! (current PC-3000 UDMA version don't run loader correctly in automatic way).

Problem with reading caused by lubricant loss from spindle motor. In this case drive head become very slow but not knock.

This summer we going to release utility which allow run drives without SA working correctly.

For your case I recomend try clear heads or heads transplant. But for sure check PCB. You may use for it any drive with "BANC1E00" code on top lable.
