Hi guys
Need help on Maxtor 6E040L0510, it has module 18 (UBA 41) error and also Module 78, I tried regenerate but didnt work.
I can switch the drive to ALT-SA all modules are ok, and can I rewrite module 18 and 78 from ALT-SA to the faulty module 18 and 78?
Thank you for any help.

You need tests->Service information->Work with service area->SA structure test, and send it to
ts2@acelab.ru. What have you done with this drive?

I disagree. I think that module 18 and 78 will be repaired if you run tests->Service information->Work with service area->SA Surface Verification.
Then select Module Recovery from SA menu to repair PLIST (18). Then set to Master, disk should ID ok then run Translator Regeneration.

Hi
Alt SA (SA C) mod 18 and 78 are not appropriate for SA A.
If the drive can write its SA correctly (SA write test passes), U can try rewriting these modules to get rid of the reading error, then regenerate the translator.
if it doesn't work, I mostly use smart hotswap.

Seems that the fault is with main SA not Alt-SA.
If SA Surface Verification fails, and modules cannot be written as pepe suggests, then HotSwap will be only way to get data back
