To set safe mode, necessary to use PC-MXSAFE adapter without power cable connection and with "Calypso" jumper on it.

I currently own a PC-3000 PCI for Windows, i have ordered my PC-3000 UDMA but it may take several weeks to arrive.

I currently have a Maxtor 500GB SATA Disk detected only as Grizzly, i have a loader but i cannot load it as i am unsure on how to make start the disk in safe mode.

Any suggestions on how to do this on a Maxtor Grizzly SATA disk without the PC-MXSAFE adapter (the pc-3000 pci did not come with this).

Any help would be helpful as this disk i have at the moment needs urgent repair for data recovery.

Thanks.

PC-3000 for Windows (non UDMA) can't correctly run loader on Grizzly drive. UDMA version can.
