MAXTOR safe mode detect

Postby ZeBong » 30.06.08, 01:06

Hello,

i Have 2 maxtor 80Gb sata, that when i connect tho the pc3k it start in safemode, and knoc knoc with some music.

Why the pck3 detect safemode

What is the general problem with this when they star in safe mode.

NOTE ( i see safe mode in red) but the motor is working, so the disk are not in really safe mode.

I Have also 1 disk 80Gb good from the same series.

Need to correct the other 2 to recover a RAID 5.

Thanks
Jose

Do you have the jumper set to safe mode?

If you don't have jumper set to safe mode, the motor spins.
