Toshiba MQ01ABD100H Problem

Hi,

Model: Toshiba MQ01ABD100H
2.5", 4K sector
FW: ALF07M

Starts normal with full ID and correct size. No noise or slow detection.
Could access service information and backup them.

Problem is: any attempt to read user data returns AMN/INF error and makes the drive busy.

Tried Solution: Reading Options/ Use utility, Consider logical sector per physical sector, PBA access (Solve G-list damage)
ends with error
clearing G-list also didn't help

Terminal output shows the following error:
SIGNATURE SCAN FAILED
HDD FATAL ERROR

I guess the problem should be related to onboard NAND flash corruption but don't know how to deal with

Any hint or help to solve the problem is highly appreciated

Thank you

Hi Msurgeon
Thanks for reply.
I already am aware of this solution. Problem is, my PC3K Express is version 5.9.21 and there is no such menu item as "Flash Permanent cache ON/OFF", only SMART and ECC.
Wondering if there is any other method to turn OFF the Flash, like terminal commands ,etc...

So nva is the terminal command to disable the SSD side? Good to know. Unnecessary if you've got PC-3000, but might be helpful if you're helping someone who's only got a toy like MRT or Dolphin.

hehe, sorry Larry.

When are you going to finally break down and just buy a PC-3000? You've probably paid the price of one already in all those other tools you've got. Just wait until you get behind the wheel of that Cadillac of a tool. :D

No problem, Jared. I missed my chance with the 25% discount on Ace's 25th anniversary; I'll just have to wait for a 50% discount on their 50th. LOL

Thank you so much AJ2008
Problem solved.
1. Sent nva vial terminal
2. Restart the drive
3. Tried to read sector... Error
4. Tried Reading Options/ Use utility, Consider logical sector per physical sector, PBA access (Solve G-list damage)...finished without error :D :D :D
5. Refresh, read sector OK :)
6. Started cloning
