TOSHIBA MQ01ABD050

Hi all,
i have here a strange case with a TOSHIBA MQ01ABD050.
Select Toshiba Utility and switch on the Power.
The hdd spin up and nocking for ~30times. All LED in statusregister where Grey.
Klick the autodetect, the hdd is detectet korrectly,
now start util, the hdd ist clicking for next ~30 times and ERR licgt in red.

Here the log:

You may use command "Work with service area" / "Password removal" to unlock the HDD.

I try tu unlock, but no success.
In Modul test i see the cp DD cannot be reed.

Without the P-List i could not be solve PLIST Problem.
Changing the Heads, -same Problem.
So i think the Main Problem is: P-List could not be reed. :x :x
Is there a Chance to recover the data?
Any sugestions?

Sorry, i forgot to write: Password removal don't work on this drive.

Bruno, all indications are that heads are damaged here. I suppose you should open this HDD in clean room and check :shockable:

I also came to this conclusion and make a headswap (as i already wrote above "Changing the Heads, -same Problem.")
Only the clicking noise was a bit different, with the new heads.
Maybe the donor heads are not compatible?
The donor hdd is the same type as the patient. Only the firmware is not quite the same.

Patient hdd:
Toshiba MQ01ABD050

Donor drive:
Toshiba MQ01ABD050
Drive Rev: AAH AA00/AX001C
Date: 14JUL2012

I will re-install the donor head on Monday, maybe I overlooked something.
I will also install the patient's writing head into the donor hdd to see what happens.
