Hello:

I have a drive, the toshiba laptop has a fried motherboard, customer set an ATA pass to the drive. Customer knows the password, but when I try to use PC3K "Open HDD" command, it aborts.

Do you have any experience if Toshiba laptops use a special "filler" after the user supplied password ?

PC3K doesnt support SA access to this drive so i cant just hack it.

When Toshiba SATA SSD drive with hardware problems is connected to PC-3000 UDMA in the most cases it displays password problem.
To recover the data from this drive you should unsolder chips, read their RAW data and use PC-3000 Flash to assemble it in a correct way for getting users files. You can check if there is a ready solution for this model on our solution center : http://www.pc-3000flash.com/solbase/

If you don't believe me, try to open(unlock) this hdd with standart command from Tools->HDD->Security subsystem->Open hdd.
This command is described in ATA Standarts and it is same for all SATA/PATA hard drives. Most likely it will report you an error or will
not have any result at all.
