Hi,

I've got MK6034GSX with some failure, after power on it spins but after a while stops, my first idea was bearing damage, but I also think it could be heads.

In this respect I need to find donor, and I found MK6034GAX. Tell me please if the only difference between 34GSX and 34GAX is type of interface (SATA and PATA)? I think yes, but I'm not sure and want to hear opinion from others.

If I need to replace platter and heads into another case with a good bearing, what kind of donor shall I look for?
I mean, may I use case from another family assuring it has got the same rotational speed 5400rpm ?

Please provide both drives photo to tell about PCB.
