Got MQ01UBD100 drive formatted in mac. The beginning of the drive contains some data written after the formatting.
The rest space contains zeroes. From the words of the client, the formatting took a small amount of time (not minutes).
From the info I have this drive should be a CMR type. Could it be SMR? I try to explain how the drive could get zeroed.

It's definitely not SMR.
So either client is lying, or the drive was empty all along or client gave you the wrong drive or someone zeroed the drive....
