Postby OmniaLab » 07.05.20, 14:49

hi, i got this MQ04UBF100 which is basically an MQ04ABF100 with USB. i soldered in a sata header. it doesn't click, on data extractor i could see folders structure but copy is extremely slow, contiuos loss of readiness, i wanted to try to isolate one of the heads but when i try to do a physical test i get "P-List decode error: unexpected error: This P-List can`t be decoded" how do i proceed?

access smart gives an error "smart return status error device error detected bit5"

Hello,

For what you need physical test? - firstly, it will make data unavailable.
Other thing:
Utility can't parse P-list on this model name (it contains different structure which is unknown now for us).
And last thing: Unfortunately there is n o possibility to deal with Heads map on Toshiba drives at all.

The only can advice try to set 'back' direction reading in DE and check reading behavior.
Also, build Heads map and decide maybe one certain head is weak and read slowly but all other are in good condition.
With best regards
