MQ01ABD100

Postby emir_has » 26.10.16, 19:11

HI

I have patian hdd MQ01ADB100, 1TB disk. It was in dell inspiron laptop and laptop is burned (motherboard) with disk too. Disk wount start at all.
So I found similar disk MQ01ABD075, 750GB as a donor and swap electronics with my patient disk. I have transfered ROM chip from patient PCB on donor PCB.
Now disk powers up but I heard hard clicks and nothing hapens!
Did I used correct PCB of donor or I have to use from same model ad my patient? How to be sure that heads are bad too in this case?

Thanks

I don't know, are the PCBs numbered the same?

Usually before even powering on a drive damaged in a fire the inside should be inspected for heat damage. Could be melted plastic or any number of damaged components.
