Skip over skipped sectors

Skip over skipped sectors
Is there a way to ignore previously skipped sectors when re-reading? Seems like there should be but haven't figured it out. Thanks for tips.

Re: Skip over skipped sectors
Yes there is - use the function "Create submap using the legend" in DE
Re: Skip over skipped sectors
The submapping using legend only allows me to make a map of all skipped sectors but not to eliminate them from further reading attempts. This is what I'm trying to figure out. Thanks for responding.
Re: Skip over skipped sectors
In Data Extractor task parameters, there are two options 'Skip rectors with...'. Do they work?
With best regards

Re: Skip over skipped sectors
For me submap using legend does what it says. Need to understand what you mean by "skipped"
If you mean to skip sector on reading error, and never touch a sector marked as reading error again, then there is a option in task parameters as Dmitriy_TS said.

Re: Skip over skipped sectors
What I am trying to do is to skip unprocessed, in other words, unread sectors that I have skipped over on purpose in reading. These are sectors that I chose in task parameters to be skipped over after a read error. Re-reading these sectors will just result in more read errors. These are not sectors with read errors. There is no provision in DE task parameters that will do this, nor is there a way of using the submap/legend feature to do this. Frankly, this doesn't appear something that's do-able. Unless I'm missing something?
Re: Skip over skipped sectors
Open object map, create submap of skipped sectors (yellow / white / red whichever you need) and select 'change legend' - set all to modified (blue colour) and they will be ignored in future scans.
This should work.
This should work.

Thanks so much for that information. Much appreciated.
