Status Updates Stop Working

I've been having this issue for a few years on all my PC3K systems and I'm sure I can't be the only one. Every now and then, the Status updates don't refresh until we stop the imaging process, which is somewhat annoying. When it stops working, it stops for all channels in their separate windows tasks and, thus far, the only way I have figured out how to correct it is by rebooting the computer.

Anyone have a trick for getting them working again without rebooting the entire computer?

Hello,

We see the same problem Status updates don't refresh until we stop the imaging process.(only on some task)
would be nice to find why this happens sometimes.

Thanks

I also get that...
Changed the PC, and it seems to be working now...
But need more testing.

It happens on all 3 of my systems. I just randomly stops and corrects itself after rebooting windows.

Hello Luke,

When you image data, Data Extractor has to calculate number of sectors between headers and footers of files to estimate capacity of data and speed rate of data copying.
This process is computable time expensive and it can speed down data cloning. Data Extractor performs this procedure one time only in the end.

Never had this problem. Maybe some software or AV incompatibility?

When it goes stupid, yes it still computes at the end. But, when working, for a couple years now, it computes and shows in the status tab a live progress indicator, speed, ETA and so on.

This happens here too and if it happens the progress / status indicator of pure data extraction tasks to a backup drive also get not updated (files copied, files left, eta). Same is true for running imaging processes (no speed, eta and so on). Rebooting system sometimes helps but not always.
No AV installed, Win 10 Pro, i7.
