Why does it take DE so long to process a file list for HFS+?

Why does it take DE so long to process a file list for HFS+? My current recovery has 647,000 files in it and takes an hour to render a CSV list. Whereas if I load that same 100% error free DE image file into R-Studio, it can spit out a text file list in thirty seconds.

Exclude the Private Data folder off of root.

It was excluded and still took an hour.

Yeah, mac computers generate a ton of tiny files. Typically they will have almost twice as many files as a PC HDD will. It's part of why I started charging an extra fee if they want the data copied to a Mac formatted destination. Covers my extra time wasted with Mac specific issues.
Also, make sure you're not trying to copy out a Timebackup folder using DE. If so, it's going to attempt copying a million versions of each file in the backup. So you might end up recovering 10Tb off a 2Tb disk.

Well yes I know HFS+ has tons of tiny files but that's not the point. Data copy from PC300 is not an issue with Paragon. R-Studio can make the same list in 30seconds whereas DE takes hours. I have a feeling that even if you don't click on the HFS+ private folder DE still counts it in the background.
I wish we had a mini DE program that could be installed on a non PC3000 computer that could open a DE task and copy data. That way it would not clog up a PC3000 computer for large data copies.
