We have a client that is requesting a RAID recovery: A RAID-6 utilizing 12 hard drives. Is it possible to recover data from these drives without having the RAID addition to the PC-3000? We have the PC-3000 with the Data Extractor. Thanks!

Well,
First Clone Of Image All 12 Drives .If You Find a Physically Failed Drive Solve the Issue And Proceed .Then You Can Use UFS Explorer / Rstudio Etc To Reconstruct The RAID

Based on the fact that you asked the question, you aren't likely to be successful with a RAID6 recovery on your own. Start cloning the drives and line up someone who can assist you remotely.

It really depends on whether or not it's a standard RAID or some proprietary type of RAID 6. If it's a pretty typical controller which uses Reed Solomon parity calculations, then you can do it using R-Studio and a lot of know how. If it's something special like an EMC SAN unit, then you're in a totally different boat.
