How to mirror a drive via COM port using DE?

Postby drmilos » 17.05.13, 15:45

I have a WD USB drive (WD7500KMVV) where I can access user data via COM port in PC3K UDMA utility but not via USB port. I don't see an option in DE to connect via COM port. How can I mirror the drive via COM port using DE? Alternatively, is there a way to mirror the drive using PC3K UDMA utility (perhaps a script can do it)? Any hint/advice much appreciated.

Even if you could do this, speed would be a huge issue and the time required for it would not be viable...

You can connect to COM port for some SA operations, but if your case needs some SA / physical intervention, you should probably convert to a more manageable and user friendly interface (SATA)
