I have a 5 disk RAID 5 with a zfs partition.

Has anyone had any luck with these? what software will recognize them?

Thanks

We don't have some universal algorithm of recovery for this kind of system, but maybe these typical steps can make your research easier.

1. Take patient's RAID controller and check what the settings does it support/use (header, block size, etc., it's good if you know the hdd order). Maybe you'll need to build new RAID with empty hdds to define its settings.

2. When you know the settings of the RAID (probably 2-5 variants of settings) you may build the Image of the data using some special software for RAID recovery and copy the data to one high-capacity HDD.

3. Mount the partition under Solaris OS (connect the HDD to Solaris PC/server) and copy the data.
