Manage Image Files

Postby jojo2012 » 10.09.17, 15:57

Hi Guys,
I have this problem that may seem trivial but I can’t figure it out. I always do the clone using a target drive but this time I didn’t have any available drive so I created the image files.
I certainly will not create image files anymore.

As I could not open the HFS+ partition in DE I did the full cloning using the files image as target (H0 had problems). The cloning was good just about 100MB bad.
Now I want to use those files so I did this:

Create a new task, flag make data copy, Select source drive (image files), Select destination drive, but I get the error: “Error Create Task”- “Determination Source” – “Could not find the file task.prm”.

Now I have all these image files that I can’t use, I'm not going to clone the drive again as I'm afraid it dies :(
Thanks so much in advance for any help or hint.

Jojo

Have you checked that the task.prm file exists in the same folder as the img files? Any chance you moved the files? Can you open the original task in "work with copy only" mode?
You can test the original task without selecting a SATA port, just open PC-3000 without a SATA port, open DE, choose "open task" and browse to your task.prm file. See if it opens in work with copy only mode.

Hi Blizzard,
thanks for the reply.

Yes the task.prm file exists in the same folder as the img files.
Right now I’ve installed the new version of PC3K+DE (07-sept-2017) and open the task.prm file (work copy only), but the folder “Disk Folder Result” is empty (see attached).

I don't understand :(

I also wrote to ACE support some days ago, with no reply. I also have another TK that has been opened for several days, now in "Critical" state.

Thanks again Blizzard
