How to auto-save the map and statistics...

Postby 300ddr » 09.06.14, 20:39

Sometimes I run a DE task (imaging a bad drive) for days or weeks. But sometimes DE crashes and needs to be force-quit. After re-opening the tasks, I lose all the "statistics" and up-to-date "map" from back to the last time the task was opened.

Is there a way to automatically or manually "save current statistics" or "save current map"? Is there no automatic backup function?

The only solution I know is closing every DE task and re-opening manually. I now do this about every 2 days, so just in case DE crashes, I only lose 2 days of imaging.

Please advise if there is a better solution or way to save the task without closing/reopening.

If there is no "auto-save" feature, please add this to the feature request list. It's especially important for the PC3K Express, where I have 4 drives running, sometimes for a week each. If DE crashes, I may lose 1 week work for 4 separate drives.

Anyone else have this problem or find a better solution?
Thanks,
Brian

P.S. Ace TS said "Utility saves map automatically after some times. There are some problems with "List of range" map type.
We advise to use "Binary file" for map." We use Binary file type for map, but at least for DE Express, it doesn't save after time.
