Data Extractor, loss of readiness-Sorted

Postby cheshirepolice » 31.03.11, 12:29

Using several different models of drives, including a brand new unused drive, I'm experiencing a problem with Data Extractor not reading any sectors. The same drives show mostly green within the Express test but as soon as I try to extract the data to either an image file or a drive connected to ATA-1 all sectors are red. Double clicking on a sector to view and edit I get the report that "Sector was not read because of readiness loss". Can someone please advise a poor ignorant fool who is stumbling around in the dark?

Its amazing what a little sleep can do.

I came in this morning and checked the "Options, 'Read only' devices" tab and noted that my storage drive had been selected inadvertently to read only, a quick de-select and reboot and all is back to normal. I guess I was very tired yesterday.
