is there a way to do this for Windows 10 Pro other than disabling the Windows update service?
I was rebuilding an image on a flash drive and it seems to have restarted after 7 hours. Pretty frustrating.

I use since several time "RebootBlockerSetup" Download at chip.de and works so far reliable

You can do it with a bat file and some commands to stop key services in windows.

I had the same problem and this is the solution i came up with.

I attached an archive with 2 file one for enable and one for disable Windows Update completely.

Right click and Run as Administrator.

Be sure to check "Protect Service Settings."

Thanks i'll try the windows update blocker... seems pretty a tad easier than disabling the service manually.
