how to turn off the PC3K Flash

Postby gterry » 05.04.16, 14:58

I have a project that has multiple chips. I have read the first one and it has completed and now want to add the next one. The programmer shows both the power and the processing lights on. Is it safe to remove the chip and add the next? When I select "turn off/on chips power" from the menu is responds with "Turning power on is done through special mode and requires some parameters"?

Hello Glen!

Forget about this - just don't worry and change the chip :) Or if you think that it could harm the NAND - reconnect adapter with your socket.
With best regards

Yup, I swap chips all the time...no issues. I don't believe that any power is running though the NAND unless you are in the process of reading the NAND.
