So I've been in contact with a guy who does forensics work for agencies within the US government. It's the sort of data they won't send out under any circumstances, they won't even allow any remote access. They will likely however purchase the equipment they need to get the job done as necessary.
The guy is a forensics expert who has experience in data recovery, PC3K, etc. but not so much with SAS drives. Currently, he's working on a RAID 50 array with a bunch (I think 8 of them) of failed Seagate drives. They aren't sure if the failure is power surge or firmware related at this point.
He's willing to pay for someone's time to do a bit of phone consulting and get his questions answered, he just needs someone with the necessary experience to talk with.
Anyone out there with this type of experience willing to do some consulting?

Hi Obxspook, I found someone already, but I'd like your contact info as well for future reference. Never hurts to know people who do some of these less common things.
